After more than nine years of travels spanning 12 states, 8 in the south, 1 in the midwest, 3 on the east coast, one central dogma prevails- Within the innercities of the poorest urban areas of these states, some within walking distance of the wealthiest districts of these same innercities; the young innercity youth of these area in many surprising instances share terminally similar characteristics. Highspeed unmarked vehicles circuling small ghettos, constant high screaming sirens, shallow crowds semi pointing and their snares,crowded playgrounds, corner hangout spots, little to no nutrition in distance, a ration of drugs, liqour, groceries and gasoline; coupled with neo-extinct education - the mortality rate of these urban innercity areas in regards to african-american youth is higher than any surrounding district(s),parrishes, or townships or division of the city-state. Many times when asked what is a goal or hobbie or desire they these innercity impoverished youth african american women hold that they believe would help get them out of a "depressing situation" ages 25 - 39, explicitly, expressed reading love themed paperbacks and writing as in a book or story about their ancestral trees,family histories or personal stories. rocrastinated possibly by a lack of resources to accomplish her gola or either the constant loss of a close one on a daily basis in some cases. Shrines with memorials to family and community members, many with candles burning, are found throughout the communities.(See pictures) It is, in restrospect indeed pleasant to see a larger number of african american women from moderate to middle class districts pursuing more oportunities for education. It is observed that there could be factors that limit these resources for lower impoverished districts. Even though it was reported this year that the number of african american women to graduate from highschool ages 14-19 remains the lowest number of all ethnicites in the U.S.(Boston newspaper, 2006, July)these numbers nationally are considerate, and dreadfully amusing to some groups. "Female" gang violence has even been reported in many areas to be increasing at an ever alarming rate. Simultaneously, african american women remain highest in the single breadwinner multi household column. Ohio State (Jacqueline Kirby 2006) reported single mothers with dependent children have the highest rate of poverty across all demographic groups (Olson & Banyard, 1993) Recently it was reported that the mortality rate of african american women locally, measured against the average black on black murder rate has sadly increased among young african american women .(Boston Press, 2006, July) With this recent addition in destructive conditions that give to modern statistics relating to the "neo-extiction" of african american woman, including their currently in 2006 being the highest HIV/AIDS rate among any ethnic group here in the U.S. (CDC 2003) ,these numbers resembling Africa rates in some cases,and the growing "chemical warfare-like" environmental toxins that find trade within these nationally localized ghettos,it becomes critical to the survival of the african american woman that these issues and others would do well to be addressed with concern, philanthropy and prayer. More than a sense of urgency is at hand but more so with a call for a bill of results that are evident in a short time. It is important for the black community to see results,community made results with no regard to whether or not a single federal,medical, or "governmental" grant, policy or bill that would empede- to put on a display with no accountability- was assuredly waited upon. Vaguely, I am sure that members of other ethnicities currently a part of any of the world wars we witness around the globe where they are surrounded by falling missiles and constant gunfire would have a more pressing extreme argument? What are ways that leaders of the african american community can work with others to not only address these urgent concerns, but quickly resolve and achieve them with synergy?
